Roblox game thumbnail size
Game thumbnails appear on the Roblox Home page and at the top of your game’s detail page. Roblox recommends 1920 × 1080 pixels at a 16:9 aspect ratio so they stay sharp on every device.
- Always 16:9. Roblox stretches every thumbnail to 16:9 whatever you upload, so other shapes get distorted.
- Up to 10 per game. You can show up to 10 images or videos on the detail page.
- Under 3 MB for the Home page. Thumbnails you upload for Home page personalization should stay under 3 MB.
- Keep the bottom clear. Roblox can cover the bottom of a thumbnail with details like the player count, so keep titles in the top half.
Roblox game icon size
The icon is the square image next to your game name. Use a 512 × 512 square. Roblox also shows it as small as 150 × 150, so a single bold subject works better than fine detail. The Roblox icon maker downloads icons at exactly this size.
Roblox YouTube thumbnail size
For Roblox videos on YouTube, the thumbnail must be 16:9 and at least 640 px wide. YouTube recommends up to 3840 × 2160; 1280 × 720 is the long-standing standard and looks sharp everywhere. Use JPG or PNG, up to 50 MB on desktop (2 MB when uploading from the mobile app). Shorts use a 9:16 thumbnail instead. Custom thumbnails need a verified channel.
