Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and RoThumbnail ("we", "us") for using rothumbnail.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

RoThumbnail is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or YouTube. Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation.

1. Who can use RoThumbnail

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with your parent's or guardian's permission, and a parent or guardian must make any purchase.

2. Guest sessions and accounts

You can make your first thumbnail without an account; we create a guest session in your browser. Signing in with Google creates an account, and thumbnails from your guest session move to it. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure.

3. Credits

Each generation uses one credit (two for a 4K original). Guest sessions get one free credit, and accounts signed in with Google get free credits topped up to 3 every month. We may change the free amounts at any time.
If a generation fails because of an error on our side, the credit is returned automatically.
If a request is blocked by our content filter, the credit is not returned.
Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and may expire as described for your plan.
Creating multiple accounts or guest sessions, or otherwise working around our limits to get extra free credits, isn't allowed.

4. Paid plans

We offer monthly and yearly subscriptions and one-time credit packs; current prices and allowances are on the pricing page.

Subscription credits are granted at the start of each monthly cycle, counted from the day you subscribed (yearly plans are billed once a year but still get credits monthly). Unused subscription credits don't carry over to the next cycle.
Credit pack credits expire 12 months after your most recent pack purchase.
Free credits are topped up to 3 once a month for signed-in accounts; unused free credits don't add up.
Credits are used in that order: subscription credits first, then pack credits, then free credits.
Upgrading tops up your current cycle to the new plan's allowance right away; a downgrade applies from the next cycle.
If a payment is refunded, the credits it granted are removed.

Purchases are sold and processed by Waffo.com Limited, our merchant of record, whose buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds: a credit pack can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used; subscription periods that have already started are not refunded. This doesn't limit any refund rights you have under the law where you live. To ask for a refund, email support@rothumbnail.com. Prices may change; we'll tell you before a change affects your subscription.

5. Your content

Your inputs. You keep ownership of the text and images you give the Service. You confirm you have the rights to them, and that anyone recognizable in an uploaded photo has agreed to it being used. Don't upload photos of other people without their permission.

Your thumbnails. As between you and us, you own the thumbnails you generate, to the extent the law allows, and you may use them for personal and commercial purposes, including on Roblox and YouTube. AI models can produce similar results for different people, so we can't promise your thumbnail is unique.

License to us. You give us a limited license to store, process and display your inputs and thumbnails only to provide the Service to you, for example to generate them, show them in My thumbnails and let you download them. We don't use them to train AI models.

6. What you can't generate or do

Don't use the Service to create or upload content that:

is sexual, or sexualizes anyone who is or appears to be a minor,
is hateful, harassing, threatening or promotes violence,
shows gore, blood or graphic violence, such as mutilation, severe injuries or dead bodies (cartoon-style action and non-gory horror are fine),
is illegal or promotes illegal activity,
infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights, including official Roblox logos and brand marks,
impersonates a real person, or uses someone's likeness without consent,
is meant to mislead players or viewers, or breaks the rules of the platform you upload it to.

Also don't: scrape the Service, access it with bots or automated tools, try to get around rate limits, content filters or security measures, or interfere with the Service or other users.

We automatically check prompts, uploaded images and every generated image for prohibited content. A result that fails the check is discarded and never shown or stored, and a blocked request still uses its credits. Accounts with repeated blocked requests are suspended automatically. We may also block requests, remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we may report content that sexualizes minors to the relevant authorities.

Reporting content. If you see a thumbnail made with RoThumbnail that breaks these rules or infringes your rights (for example, it uses your artwork, character or trademark without permission), email support@rothumbnail.com with a link to or copy of the image and why you are reporting it. We review every report within 3 business days. If it breaks these terms, we remove the content and may suspend the account that made it, and we tell you what we did.

7. AI-generated results

Thumbnails are generated by AI, using OpenAI's GPT Image 2 model (gpt-image-2). Results can contain mistakes, such as misspelled text, odd details or content that doesn't match your prompt. Review every thumbnail before you publish it. You are responsible for how you use what you generate, including following Roblox's and YouTube's rules; Roblox moderates every thumbnail and expects it to represent your game accurately.

8. Other platforms

The Service links to and works with platforms we don't control, such as Roblox, YouTube and Google. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for their decisions, such as rejecting a thumbnail.

9. Changes to the Service and these terms

We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service. We may update these terms; if a change is significant, we'll tell signed-in users before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account any time in Settings → Security. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to for legal reasons.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that results will meet your needs.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
